Nova Scotia Explored

It’s been a while — let’s catch up

Hello Reader,

It’s been a while since I landed in your inbox… but somehow it also feels like no time has passed at all.

Life has been full over here in the quiet, beautiful ways. Slower mornings. Fewer big road trips. A brand-new tiny human who has completely reshaped how my days look (and how much sleep I get 😅).

Adventures still happen — they just fit into pockets now, and sometimes they look more like watching light move across the wall than chasing the next trail.

Rediscover Nova Scotia has always been about noticing — not just going. That hasn’t changed. If anything, it’s deepened.

From the Archive:

Even during this slower season, I’ve been sitting on a whole archive of adventures: photos, stories, places that still tug at me. Some are old favourites, some never shared properly the first time around. This year, I want to bring those back into the light — paired with reflections, gentle prompts, and small invitations to step outside your routine (even if only for five minutes).

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll recognize this rhythm. If you’re newer here — welcome. I’m really glad you found your way.

Finding Light:

✨ This year's Calendar Finding Light is still out in the world, created as a gentle invitation to slow down, look up, and notice the quiet moments that bring us back to ourselves. As always, $5 from each calendar supports The Keep in Ogilvie — something I’m incredibly proud to support. The Keep is a respite for those essential service members who battle PTSD.

🎁 A little thank-you to celebrate being back in touch, here’s 15% off anything in the shop:

(Valid on any purchase.) And if you’d prefer cheaper shipping and don’t mind it being untracked, just reply to this email or message me on the socials — I’m always happy to arrange that personally.

Looking ahead:

🌱 What’s coming this year won’t be about doing more. It’ll be about doing things with intention. I’m slowly shaping ideas like:

  • A hands-on workshop
  • Or a playful scavenger-hunt-style adventure you can do solo or with others

Nothing is set in stone yet — and honestly, I’d love your input. If something like that existed, what would you hope to get from it? Inspiration? Connection? A reason to explore somewhere new? You can just hit reply and tell me — even a sentence helps more than you know.

Let’s keep in touch

📸 If you’re not already, you can also find me on Instagram and Facebook, where I share ongoing adventures, behind-the-scenes moments, and ideas you can borrow for your own exploring. And if you ever feel like sharing your adventures — big or small — I love seeing them. This whole thing works best when it’s a conversation.

If you’re still here reading this, thank you, truly. Whether you’ve been following since the beginning or just signed up recently, I hope this feels like a place you can come back to whenever you need a reminder to slow down and notice what’s already around you.

I’d genuinely love to hear from you — what you’ve been up to, what you’ve been noticing, or what kinds of adventures you’re craving right now.

Talk soon (this time for real),

Nancy
